TBC Vegan bakery became a bricks and mortar bakery in 2013. The space was a former hardware store-come art gallery and was redesigned as a commercial bakery with storefront retail, and cafe seating. The flexibility of the open concept retail and seating area at the front allows for special events and regular markets to occupy the space. Knowing she’d spend the better part of her day baking in the new space, the client wanted an interior that felt as cosy as her grandmother’s house. The bakery has become not only a local destination for vegan treats but a lively gathering place that regular has people spilling out onto the street in Toronto’s Bloordale neighbourhood.
