You might notice that we are using a new name. Collaborative Architecture Inc. is now providing Architecture for a Healthy Planet under the new/old name as Sustainable. It is simply too good a name not to recycle and reuse in this way. However, there is certainly no need for the 3rd ‘r’ and to reduce what we do, as we believe that the path to a Sustainable future is actually one of abundance and sharing. When done right, green building gives us more of what we need, not less: more light, more fresh air, more beauty, more ease of use, more durability, more comfort, and more savings. True to our core values of Collaboration and Respect, we continue to find ways to grow our influence with an ever expanding network of green designers, builders, and Clients.Â
The name and look have been renewed but the Sustainable brand continues to be known for delivering affordable solutions our most basic need for shelter (aka housing) with beautiful, healthy, low-carbon buildings at all scales.
Some of the things we do well:
- Transitional and emergency shelter housingÂ
- Multi-generational backyard housingÂ
- Tri-plex and four-plex infill developmentsÂ
- Accessible & inclusive design for allÂ
A unifying thread that connects all of our work is a commitment to finding affordable ways to enhance our environment and reduce the carbon footprint of our buildings – both new and old.
Under the leadership of Architects Daniel Hall, Paul Dowsett, and Ana Gascon our team of talented and passionate designers and building science nerds are here to meet your needs in both Toronto and the Kitchener-Waterloo region.Â
